Born to musical parents, Shweta was inspired by them both to hone her skill and carve her own musical path from a young age, encouraging her to explore various facets of music she took interest in. Her mother, the legendary singer Sujatha Mohan, and her father, a devoted music lover, have always been and continue to be her guiding lights, encouraging her continuous growth and exploration.

Shweta's versatility shines through as she sings in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali, and English. Her training in Carnatic and Hindustani classical music equips her with the skills to deliver captivating performances and recordings across various styles. Shweta became a household name having lent her voice to over 750 songs. Since her 2005 debut singing for films, she has sung for over 500 films across many languages, and has had the pleasure of working with over 300 composers.
